2021-- The Lubbock Luncheon Thursday

 Once upon a time these once monthly luncheons were held at a Furr's Cafeteria on Slide Road, but that establishment closed-- end of an era, in a way. This pre-reunion gathering took place at the "50th Street Caboose". There was a lot of anticipation of the next day's reunion. It had been a long time! A lot had happened over the past three years.

The local crowd had every reason to expect a good reunion and a good turnout, but it was better than anticipated! There were some new and some rarely seen faces!

2021: Registration!

 I arrived really early but I was able to help out a little. For one thing the hospitality room had to be stocked with drinks and snacks. I held down the fort as well as I could at the registration desk while these things were being purchased and transported.

When I arrived I took photos of the area around Elegante Hotel and Suites.

And I snapped pics of whatever looked interesting as I made my way to the Atrium.

2021-- The Friday Evening Dinner

 This took place in one of the usual banquet rooms, a familiar setting.

I arrived early and took some photos of the dining room where the dinner would take place.

Last reunion was 2018, as documented on this blog. 2020 had to be deferred due to the pandemic. Everyone was very happy to get together again after a three year hiatus!

This was a buffet, but the food was plentiful, with a cash bar on the side. What's not to like??
